Hope Lake Park is open weekends from Memorial Day until the end of June. Then it opens up seven days a week through Labor Day.  After Labor Day, the park is open on weekends through October. A yearly July 4th weekend celebration is hosted by the town of Virgil, New York.

The Park includes a natural swimming area in the lake, with a sandy beach and limited changing facilities but has no lockers or showers at the Park itself. Your residency at Hope Lake Lodge gives you fee-free access to Hope Lake Park facilities whenever you are staying at the Lodge. In addition, the Park has a large pavilion that can be used by many families or groups at any time, with charcoal grills and more picnic tables around the edge for cooking.
